The Grapes of Wrath, Chapter 10. Casy says that since all the people in the Dust Bowl are leaving their houses, the fields and the countyside, he is going with them. He sees his life being with them, rather than being on his own, and believes that he may find happiness amongst them. This echoes the theme of community, and that no man is an island.
