Death of a Salesman, Act 2. Happy lies to the waiter Stanley in Frank’s Chop Shop, where he, Biff and Willy are planning to meet for dinner. Describing Biff as a big cattleman from out West, Happy goes on to tell Stanley to bring out the lobsters and champagne. Foolish with money and as deluded as Willy, Happy is probably the character most similar to his father. His ordering beyond his means expensive lobster food and champagne is all for show and illustrates the theme of pride.
