A Streetcar Named Desire, Scene 10. As Stanley tells Blanche that they are alone in the apartment, he hints at her previous history of promiscuity and makes her uncomfortable. The reference to Blanche’s "fine feathers" links back to the description of Stanley in Scene 1 as "a richly feathered male bird among hens." In this scene Stanley is very much the rooster who has his sights set on Blanche.
