Weaving spiders, come not here;
Hence, you long-legg’d spinners, hence!
Beetles black, approach not near;
Worm nor snail, do no offence.
– William Shakespeare
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act 2, Scene 2. The fairies lull the Fairy Queen Titania with a magical song to protect her from spiders and other insects, so that she will have a restful sleep. This turns out to be ironic, as moments later Oberon pours magic juice over her eyes, wishes her a terrible sleep and hopes she fells in love with a beast when she awakens.
