A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act 5, Scene 1. Bottom (as Pyramus) attributes a rather nasty sexual reputation to lions, when he claims the lion in the play "deflowered" his darling Thisbe – took her virginity! He should, of course, have said "devoured."
