How camest thou hither, tell me, and wherefore?
The orchard walls are high and hard to climb,
And the place death, considering who thou art,
If any of my kinsmen find thee here.
– William Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 2. Juliet asks Romeo how and why he climbed her family’s high orchard walls when he could be put to death if caught on Capulet property. The impulsive Romeo has risked his life to see his beautiful Juliet and she appears amazed by that. Their love is forbidden because of the feud between their families.
