– Arthur Miller
Death of a Salesman, Act 2. Willy, speaking to Linda, is full of confidence about his upcoming meeting with his boss Howard. He naively believes that Howard will accept his request to work close to home in New York City. This is all part of Willy’s wild mood swings from depression to euphoria and his continuous tendency to deceive himself.
