Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 4. Hamlet, speaking of the reputation of the Danes as drunkards, paints a picture of corruption taking root in Denmark under Claudius as King. Hamlet says that countries around them criticize the Danes for their partying and call them drunkards and pigs, staining their reputation.
