Jane Eyre, Chapter 37. When Jane and Rochester are reunited after their long separation, she straight away feels comfortable in his presence. In marked contrast to the restraints she felt under with St. John, she is completely at ease with Rochester. Her “nature” has come alive again, and his too. This shows the great depth of true love that binds them.
