King Lear, Act 1, Scene 4. This is the Fool’s reply when Lear asks him when did he become so fond of singing. Since you made his daughters your mothers, and gave them the spanking rod and pulled down your pants, he bluntly and cheekily tells Lear. The King’s jester is pointing out the terrible mistake he made when he transferred all his power to daughters Goneril and Regan.
