Macbeth, Act 1, Scene 3. Banquo calls attention to the wild appearance of the Witches when he sees them for the first time. While living on the earth, they have an unnatural and unearthly look about them, he believes. Banquo’s instincts tell him straight away that these strange women represent something evil.
