Othello, Act 3, Scene 4. Desdemona reacts to Emilia’s idea of Othello being controlled by the metaphorical monster of jealousy. She naively thinks that Othello is not a jealous man. We have dramatic irony here, as the audience already knows that Othello is consumed by jealousy.
