If thou the next night following enjoy not Desdemona, take me from this world with treachery and devise engines for my life.

– William Shakespeare

Othello, Act 4, Scene 2. Iago promises Roderigo he has a plan that will result in Roderigo having sex with Desdemona by the following night. The plan is to set him up to murder his rival in love Cassio. Iago is of course lying and giving false hope to Roderigo, knowing he will never win Desdemona. When Iago tells Roderigo that he will be able to "enjoy" Desdemona, he displays his true sexist colors, seeing women as the possessions and playthings of men.
