Pride and Prejudice, Chapter 59. Jane is delighted for her sister Elizabeth over her engagement to Darcy and is dying to know how long she has loved him. Elizabeth admits that it wasn’t love at first sight, but her feelings changed and grew into love over time. But she recalls her visit to Pemberley as the turning point – while she was there she greatly admired the estate and fantasized about being mistress of it.
