The Odyssey, Book 16, lines 482-487. When Penelope hears of the suitors’ plan to kill Telemachus and confronts them, Eurymachus lies to her in a bid to calm her. His assurances that Telemachus’ life is not in any danger are false. Only moments before Eurymachus and the other suitors were discussing the murder of Telemachus.
