Ariel,
Fetch me the hat and rapier in my cell:
I will discase me, and myself present
As I was sometime Milan: quickly, spirit;
Thou shalt ere long be free.
– William Shakespeare
The Tempest, Act 5, Scene 1. Prospero instructs Ariel to fetch his hat and swords, announcing that he will remove the clothes he is wearing – presumably his magic robes – and attire himself in the clothes he used to wear in Milan. He urges Ariel to be quick, promising that soon he will have his freedom.
